Let's Get Physical
Reading romantic fiction can be a lot of fun, but it doesn't compare to actually holding the one you love in your own arms. In a similar way, there's something special about a physical book, solid and tangible, that you can hold in your own hands.
I’ve had my books available as ebooks for a while now, and that was exciting in its own way—seeing the listing go live, knowing that someone, somewhere, could download it instantly. But when the paperback copy arrived and I held it in my hands for the first time, it felt… different.
More real.
Maybe it’s the weight of it. Maybe it’s the fact that it takes up physical space in the world. An ebook can sit quietly on a device alongside hundreds of others, invisible until you open it. But a paperback exists whether you’re reading it or not. You can set it on a table, pick it up again later, flip through it, feel the pages.
And then there was the surprising part—it was bigger than I expected. Thicker. I knew how many words I had written, but seeing it translated into actual pages made it hit differently.
Did I really write all that?
Flipping through it felt a little surreal. I found myself reading passages and, for a moment, experiencing them the way a reader might—almost like I had picked up someone else’s book. Then it clicks: those are my words. I made this.
I think that’s part of the appeal of physical books in general. Even in a world where you can carry an entire library on a Kindle, there’s still something satisfying about holding a real book. It’s slower, more deliberate. You don’t just scroll—you turn pages. You can see your progress, feel how far you’ve come, and how much is left.
That doesn’t mean ebooks don’t have advantages—they absolutely do. Instant access, adjustable fonts, reading anywhere, anytime. But for some readers (and now, I’ve realized, for me as well), there’s something irreplaceable about the physical experience.
So for those who prefer that experience, I’m happy to say that my books are now available in paperback format!
If you’re the kind of reader who likes to hold a book, flip through the pages, and maybe leave it sitting on your nightstand when you’re not reading—it’s there for you now. And if you’ve already read one of my books digitally, seeing it in print is a different experience entirely. Either way, it’s been a pretty incredible moment—turning something that started as an idea into something you can actually hold in your hands.
